A Queer Desi

Well I hope they get you out of the country :/ I'm not a victim. I'm cool. You can "own me" and call me dumb and idiot as much as you want. Whatever makes you feel better. An undocumented law student?? great example for those out there that work for less than minimum wage and live with 20 other people in a tiny apartment. Sure, I'm more than ignorant. Getting into discussion with people over the internet... Geez.

Your hatred of my ability to have immigrated to this country as a child, worked hard and beaten ALL odds to be where I am today, makes no sense to me. How can you assume that my parents and I do not work 60 hours a week to pay rent and place food on the table? How can you assume that I never had to live in a cramped up apartment? How can you assume that I haven’t been through anything just because I happen to be in law school? I’m not just undocumented — I’m a queer woman of color. We can play oppression Olympics all day, but clearly, that is not the answer.

And thank you for being on the side of the oppressor and wishing for my deportation. Obviously, you are the one who doesn’t know how to deal with undocumented immigrants. Good day.
